The group included paddlers of all skill levels from absolute beginners to the highly experienced. Portugal´s own Isa Sabastiao, World Record Holder for paddling 170km in 24 hrs, also took part in the event.
The ZEN SUP Team from the Algarve turned out a 5 strong international squad. Team members inc: Heike Flohr(GER), Isabel Moreno(PT), Roger Lanning(UK), Nuno Caetano(PT) and John Hogan(IRL).
It was the first time that ZEN SUP took part as a team. After some distance training in the lead up to the event the team were all set for a successful crossing. And despite a few sore muscles at the finish line all team members were in high spirits after their accomplishment.
